There is a decent size gap between the open flame and the bottom of your spoon which means it will not turn the bottom of your spoon black, or overheat your wax (but do keep an eye on it please!)

- Metal will get very hot, but it has wooden handles which stay cold.
- Fire hazard - Please do not leave naked flames unattended!
